Our projects take place in three regions within Kenya. In each region, Beads provides school curriculum materials, teacher training, library development, computers, solar lighting, photo equipment, career counseling, vocational training, environmental education and business training.
Our work creates an alternative to early marriage and the practice of FGM, sends girls who may have 20-30 siblings to university to become doctors, teachers and engineers, turns girls into mentors for the community, and offers innovations in growing food that to expand their options and improve their diet.
